One funny story that happened in the World Amateur tournaments (Under 2300) in Malta, we were playing and the board in front of me reached a dead draw so a teenager asked the man he is playing to agree for a draw , literally in all possible ways he tried even sign language, but the man only spoke Spanish and didn’t understand , then the teenager stood up raised his voice in the hall saying “is there anyone who speaks Spanish” “can someone tell me what draw means in Spanish” and we started laughing including the arbiters, then the arbiter came and after some trials he took a paper and wrote (1/2-1/2)? and finally he understood and agreed to a draw
